Paul and Maggie at KBHR Radio, the fictional station manned by Chris Stevens (John Corbett) in the TV show.

57 AM Still Rules! The dog's name is Taco.

Home of Roslyn Beer. Too bad it wasn't open... we might still be there.

The local brew as advertised in the window of The Brick.

The Roslyn Cafe was closed until later in the day. Looked like a real nice place inside. On the mural, there's no evidence of the apostrophe s after the word Roslyn as seen in the the series. They must have used fomecor and double-stick tape.

The Brick. Holling Vincoeur was nowhere to be seen. You'll note that in the internal shots in the series, the main entrance door is directly opposite the bar. The external shots show it it as it is - on the corner.

Kind of dark, but here's a shot from inside The Brick. Note the entrance on the corner at right, and the trough under the bar. More on the trough later...

Looking toward the back of The Brick. I wasn't hustling pool.
I was on my way back from le pissouir.

Getting loaded at the brick. When you go there, try the steak.
Most excellent with Roslyn Beer.

Ah, the trough. Upon questioning, the bartendress explained that this trough of running water was for patrons to spit into. Guess they chew a lot of tobacco up here. Prior to my urgent visit to le pissouir, I suggested another possible immediate use for this trough and was told in no uncertain terms that it was for saliva only. She was utterly unyielding and humorless in her opinion with regard to this topic.

The Brick is heated by wood stoves. Check out the box fan jammed behind the flue pipe. While we were there, one of the staff loaded this stove with wet wood, which did not burn very well. At least a dozen locals wandered in to toast their keisters by it, and finding it cold, gave it a swift, loud kick. I guess that's Roslynese for "fire that mother up".

Downtown. The whole schmeer is only 2 blocks long. It's the home turf of Taco, the local dog. He followed us all over town. Nice pup.

As you can guess, the good doctor's office is a souvenir and junk shop, run by a real nice old duffer named Joe.

Getting there. Stunning scenery.

Long shot of the building housing KBHR. It's a preserved window in front of a furniture store. The phonograph records from the original set are still in there on the dusty console - all warped from the sun. Ghostly. When John Corbett craps out they should put his carcass in the chair by the mic - like Anthony Perkins' mother in the Psycho film.

Yo! Chris! You in there man?
